Local Furniture by Københavns Møbelsnedkeri
Our furniture is made by local cabinetmakers from Københavns Møbelsnedkeri. Since Københavns Møbelsnedkeri was founded in 2006 they have manufactured exclusive furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, lighting, and much more for both private and corporate customers around the world. With a focus on design, architecture, and craftsmanship, Københavns Møbelsnedkeri’s handmade interiors are realized in Copenhagen – from concept to completion – in a design studio and workshop that work closely together.
Art by Bo Rune Madsen
Our spaces are decorated with art by Bo Rune Madsen. Bo Rune is a self-taught visual artist and has a long creative career behind him, first as a musician in the band MEW, where he traveled around the world and played music. Now that he has left the band, he has thrown himself into the visual arts and has had two major solo exhibitions.
Fully Equipped Espresso Machine with Coffee from Ricco’s & Climate Neutral Coffee
At The Library, we like to support local and sustainable businesses. We get our coffee from Copenhagen-based roasters at Ricco’s. Ricco’s coffee beans are produced at the coffee farm El Olmo in the state of Veracruz in Mexico. El Olmo is a collaboration between a local Mexican coffee cooperative, the Danish food, and restaurant chain COFOCO and Ricco’s. The cooler temperatures from the altitude around Teocelo and shade means the coffee beans mature more slowly, and causes the beans to be denser. Beans with higher density develop deeper flavour and aromas. Mexican coffee from this region is distinguished for its nutty flavour, smooth taste, light body, and a brightness with chocolate and vanilla overtones and occasionally green apples. Quality and sustainability is integral to El Olmo and COFOCO’s philosophy and therefore they have implemented unique sustainable approaches: solar panels, organic compost, tree planting, shade-grown coffee, Teocelo member of ICLEI, and African drying raised beds.
Intriror design by TONEN Agency
With the help of Malene Bech-Pedersen and Mette Bonavent from TONEN Agency, The Library opened its doors in October 2021. TONEN Agency has beautifully designed and decorated our spaces and designed our online visuals. At TONEN Agency they focus on interior and graphic design – and often as interplay rather than single elements. Their portfolio contains both private living spaces as well as public and scenograhic spaces. They create visual identities and concepts by bridging design, art and words. TONEN explore and reflect on architecture, design, people, art and words, and are always looking for a contemporary and meaningful understanding of each project.
Coworking space by day, event venue by night. The Library moonlights as a cultural hub. Our custom-designed event space hosts lectures, film screenings, private concerts, art shows and more. Check out what special events are happening here this month.
